March 19, 2016-Today was such a fun filled day for me, from the Celtic Fair to the Easter Egg Hunt Party! The funny part was getting to the Fairplex Park, which took us over 20 minutes searching for the mystic castle.
Every girl's dream since they were little is to have a fairy-tale wedding, to be carried by beautiful horses and carriage and to be married in a gorgeous white castle. While the princess awaits for her knight and shinny armor to come sweep her off her feet.
I have fantasized about living in an enchanted castle during the medieval times since I was 7 years old. Le Festival d'été de Québec-The Québec Winter Carnival and Masquerade Gala were magnificent and eye opening for me. It's the fantasy world that I've always dream of, where people dressed up as king and queen, dukes and knights, and be whoever they want for a day. What amazes me the most is the glorious jousting tournaments that the Québecans held in honor of their queen (Elizabeth II) every year.I 've always envied the magnificent fencing and jousting skills of William Wallace. His courageous spirit and legacy will always live on in my heart as the national hero of Scotland.
Wallace's famous quote:“Fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live — at least a while. And, dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!”
I've recently become fond of the American fantasy drama and TV series "Game of Thrones" by David Benioff. It is thought provoking and enticing to pierce into the hearts of men and envision their struggle for throne and power. It is only in California that I can get the full medieval cultural experience.
